About the Journal

ELBASH: Journal of Social Science and Education (e-ISSN: 3163-8171) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles and scholarly reviews in the fields of social sciences and education.

The name ELBASH is adapted from the Arabic term al-baṣīrah (البصيرة), which refers to inner insight, moral awareness, discernment, and the ability to understand realities with wisdom and depth. This philosophical meaning reflects the journal’s commitment to promoting scholarly inquiry that is not only analytical and evidence-based but also attentive to human values, social responsibility, and educational development. In this context, ELBASH represents the role of knowledge and conscience in understanding human behaviour, educational practices, and the dynamics of social life.

Published by Hilyah Educational Research, the journal is issued twice a year, in May and November. It provides an academic platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, and scholars to disseminate research findings, exchange perspectives, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in social sciences and education.

The journal welcomes high-quality manuscripts from scholars worldwide, particularly studies addressing educational theory and practice, teaching and learning, educational management, human development, social behaviour, culture, community studies, and contemporary social issues. Through interdisciplinary and critical scholarship, ELBASH aims to strengthen academic dialogue and contribute to the development of socially responsive and value-oriented educational knowledge.
